Super73 E-Bike Error Codes: Troubleshooting Guide

Super 73 builds electric bikes that have a design that sits somewhere between a classic bicycle and a lightweight electric moped. These bikes feature wide tires, relaxed geometry, and bold styling. Most Super 73 riders use their bikes for urban riding, short commutes, and casual cruising rather than long-distance touring.

Most Super 73 models use a rear hub motor powered by a removable lithium-ion battery. They also have a compact display screen mounted on the handlebars. You control the assistance via a combination of throttle input, pedal-assist sensors, and a central controller.  

Your Super73 electric bike might show an error code when something physically interrupts its normal operation. Cause: The throttle signal is outside expected parameters, or the system is detecting inconsistent battery state-of-charge data.

Solution: Restart the bike and ensure the throttle moves freely. If the error persists, inspection of the throttle, battery electronics, or DC/DC converter may be required.

Cause: The controller has detected an internal error affecting system stability and power delivery.

Solution: Controller faults cannot be resolved at home and typically require replacement or authorized service.

Cause: Undefined or manufacturer-specific error codes may appear due to firmware versions, uncommon fault conditions, or incomplete updates.

Before assuming the worst, a few basic checks can clear many temporary Super73 error codes:

• Power the bike off completely, then restart
• Fully charge the battery and reseat it firmly
• Inspect visible wiring for pinches or tension
• Confirm the display screen powers on normally
