What bikes are eligible for FSA/HSA funds?
How HSA/FSA Helps
You Save
HSA/FSA accounts let you spend pre-tax money on qualified health purchases - like your Upway e-Bike.
That means every dollar goes further, because you’re not paying income tax first.
Instead of earning $100 and losing part to taxes before buying, your HSA/FSA funds let you invest the full $100 in your health, mobility, and freedom.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all e-Bikes eligible for FSA/HSA Spend?
How do I qualify to use my HSA/FSA funds through Truemed?
At checkout, you’ll have the option to “Pay with HSA/FSA funds.” This will direct you to the Truemed site, where you will take a brief health intake survey asking if you are working to treat, mitigate, or prevent a chronic health condition. Once you’ve completed the survey, enter your payment details – either your HSA/FSA card or a credit/debit card – to complete the checkout process. After checkout, your answers will be reviewed by a licensed medical provider and you will be emailed a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) if you qualify. If you do not qualify, you may cancel your order at any time prior to delivery. If you validly cancel your order, your refund will be submitted to Truemed.
What is an HSA/FSA Account?
Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are tax-free accounts that can be used to pay for qualified health expenses (up to certain limits established by the IRS). These accounts are usually set up and managed by an HSA or FSA administrator, and you may have access to these accounts through your employer. HSAs are typically associated with a high-deductible health plan, and funds do not expire. FSAs are independent of your health plan, and funds elections occur in October-November each year for the following calendar year. FSA funds expire every calendar year.
