Before we start, it’s good to know Contessa is the women's version of the Scott bikes. It’s got contact points which are more suited. It’s not a hugely different bike but does have a different saddle, smaller sizing, and often a smaller stem and narrower bars. I really like how Scott has done this.

The Scott Contessa Patron eRIDE is for mountain biking. It’s not a commuter, a road bike, or a city bike. It’s a full-suspension e-MTB designed for trail and all-mountain riding. You can conquer technical climbs, rip through singletrack, and go on long-distance off-road adventures on the Patron.
Where you might not want to take the Patron is down dirt jumps, pump tracks, or downhill racing. It might do it, but you probably won’t have much fun being rattled like a can of spray paint.
What’s Performance And Comfort Like On The Contessa Patron?
The Patron isn’t made for extreme performance and aggressive positioning. It’s much more tailored for long, all-day rides and for just enjoying where you're riding while still delivering excellent performance. It’s a very comfortable bike, thanks to good geometry, a fairly upright riding position, and low overall weight.
As far as performance goes, you all get the same motor and battery across all models. Where the performance differs between the 900 and the 920 is at the component level. The 900 has a much higher specification, with better suspension, gearing, and a carbon frame, compared to the aluminum frame on the 910 and 920.

Scott doesn’t mess about when it comes to the engine on the Contessa Patron. It’s the Bosch Performance CX system, which is one of the best available. Not your basic line but the CX version. It can produce 85Nm of torque as standard, but this can be upgraded via the application to more.
The 800Wh battery is a good size. It’s going to get you around 40 to 60 miles realistically, but it depends on terrain, rider weight, assistance level, and other variables. With the 250Wh range extender that can be added, you might get another 20. It’s a pretty solid range for an off-road bike, but again, it’s tough for me to be accurate.

When you see that the Contessa Patron eRIDE comes in around $6,500 to $11,500, you might not think it screams value for money, but it is. The bike is excellent quality, the components are excellent, and the bike is designed to last year after year.
I have been working with e-Bikes for a fair amount of time, and if I were to give you some good general advice, I would say you get what you pay for. It’s worth investing more for a better bike, and you will have a much better experience.
