Bombtrack’s history

One of the newer brands on the market, Bombtrack was founded in Cologne, Germany, in 2011. They are an evolution of the popular Wethepeople BMX bike brand. The company started as a fixed-gear and track bike brand. This beginning was the inspiration behind the name, with “bomb” representing the fixed-gear side of the brand, and of course, “track” referring to their track bikes. After just three years with a focus on fixies and track bikes, Bombtrack made a shift in focus to adventure bikes.

In the 2010s, it was not unusual to see a bike brand make a switch to gravel and all-road bikes. What became known as the gravel boom was in full flux, and lots of brands took advantage. Bombtrack already had an established name and following, so they were able to make a smooth transition. They started with a focus on versatility and bikepacking adventures, but eventually became a staple in the ultra-endurance racing scene. Bombtrack became known for their durable steel frames, but also started making lightweight aluminum and carbon frames to accommodate their professional riders. Today, they play a large role in the all-road scene and even have a bikepacking component and accessory company called Seido.

  • Bombtrack Beyond:The Beyond is for the hardcore adventure rider who has no idea when their ride is going to end. It is a top choice for ultra-endurance riders and bikepacking enthusiasts. The frame is made with double-butted Chromoly steel for maximum durability on long trips. Hub dynamos power your lights on long trips, and a 1x disc brake setup makes on-the-go maintenance simpler.

  • Bombtrack Hook: At the other end of the spectrum, the Bombtrack Hook is a gravel bike that can push the pace. While it is still adventure-capable and not a racing bike, the Hook comes with steel frame material and full carbon fork to offer a bit of extra stiffness and responsiveness. The steel Hook is packed with versatile features, including the ability to equip 700c or 650b wheels, a 2x drivetrain, and tons of mounting points for bags and accessories.

  • Bombtrack Arise: The Arise is whatever you want it to be. It is set up as a single-speed bike, but it comes with an 11-speed cassette hub and derailleur hanger if single-speed isn’t for you. Bombtrack’s other bikes

Bombtrack is known for its gravel and all-road models, but they make sure that their clientele has the tools they need to take on every type of terrain out there. From mountain bikes to urban commuters, Bombtrack has a complete lineup that has something for everyone.

  • Bombtrack Cale: Sometimes a drop bar adventure bike isn't enough. The Cale is a hardtail mountain bike that comes in both aluminum and steel frame versions. This means riders can use the Cale for off-road adventures or cross-country mountain biking. A trail-confident geometry with a slacker head angle allows clearance for huge tires and both 29-inch and 27.5-inch wheels. A suspension fork adds excellent compliance.

  • Bombtrack Munroe: The Munroe can be used as an urban commuter or cargo bike, offering versatility for city riders. It has a lightweight aluminum frame material, making it more appropriate for city riding. The standard version skews more toward commuter use, while the Munroe Cargo is designed specifically for heavy hauling, including a front rack with the ability to carry 66 lbs.

  • Bombtrack Outlaw: The Outlaw goes back to Bombtrack’s single-speed roots, serving as a fast and durable steel-framed single-speed bike. The steel frame is paired with an aluminum fork and a belt-drive system. It comes with 650b wheels and 47c tires, balancing the speed and comfort you want on city rides.
