When it comes to electric mountain bikes, Specialized does make something extremely special in my eyes. When spending around $3000 in the secondhand market, you can get so much for your money.
It’s built for incredible trail riding and is such a fantastic tool to have when ripping down a trail or enduro riding, and even bikepacking if you wanted to. The Specialized Brose motor produces 90 Nm of torque and an 840 Wh battery, helping you get up and down climbs fast.
It’s packed with great components and that amazing Specialized quality. It delivers premium off-road performance without a giant price tag, which we have come to expect at this level. Highly recommended and my favorite off-road pick.

Orbea makes an excellent bike, and not only do they perform, they really do look the part. I have always had a lot of time for the M20 1X gravel bike. It’s light, fast, fun, and second-hand incredibly good value for money.
It’s not your traditional high-power, high-torque e-Bike. It’s designed to be agile. You get a small motor producing 55Nm of torque and a 350Wh battery to help you along. The weight stays nice and light, and it doesn’t need to look bulky because everything is hidden away nicely.
For myself, it’s a bike which is going to commute well, be fun on light trails, and have the ability to go on bikepacking adventures. It’s an amazing jack-of-all-trades bike and, for an e-Bike just such a minimal setup.

Although my heart says performance bikes, there are times when I want something practical. I don’t feel many other bikes tick the box the Lectric XPedition bike does with its incredible versatility.
It’s a cargo bike which is designed to hold and carry heavy loads. We’re not talking just an extra bag or two of shopping, but multiple kids and furniture from Ikea. It’s got a powerful motor, a dual-battery option for incredible range, and plenty of available accessories.
Other cargo bikes like this cost a lot more. For me, although it's a fairly budget bike in the e-Bike world, it's more than enough to replace a car in many ways. I think the value for money is incredible and it even looks great too.

Which One Would I Buy?
I would love to own all three, but unfortunately I don’t have that budget. Years ago, the Specialized e-MTB would have been my top choice with all the local trails I was enjoying at the time and the thrills I was seeking. Shortly after, I got into bikepacking, and the Orbea gravel bike would have been the best option.
Now that I have a small family, I would go for the practical Lectric. It really comes down to the rider more than anything.
