Super73 Z Adventure Red Bull SE Review

The Super73 Z Adventure Red Bull SE is unique because it does not fit into a specific category. You can choose what class you want in the Super73 app. Choosing Class 1 will make your motor cut off at 20 mph, while Class 2 will allow you to ride with throttle assistance. If you bump it up to Class 3, the throttle will be unusable, but the motor can assist up to 28 mph. This is perfect for riders who go to different locations where e-Bike rules can vary.

At first glance, the Super73 Z Adventure Red Bull SE looks more like a moped than it does a bicycle. Still, to function properly as an electric bike, it needs to have a lot of characteristics that traditional cyclists will enjoy. Super73 has an extensive background in e-Bike manufacturing, so they made sure this bike balanced bike features with electric features. 

• Frame: The Z Adventure Red Bull SE is built around a heavy-duty and ultra-durable aluminum frameset. This frame is designed to manage the motor’s power and take on the dangers of urban riding. It has a relaxed geometry that keeps the rider in an upright position. A lot of the frame’s features, like the handlebar and seat, are designed around dampening road vibrations.  

• Front Suspension: It is unusual for a bike that spends most of its time on the road to have a suspension fork, but it makes sense for the Super73 Z Adventure Red Bull SE. The fork suspension is adjustable thanks to air assist, helping accommodate all rider weights. This is vital on a heavier bike, making sure your ride is comfortable. 

• Wheels: This e-Bike comes with fat tires, which are the perfect addition to a heavy-duty Class 3 electric bike. The tires have a smooth central area with knobby edges to accommodate fast road riding and tough cornering. The knobby features also help make this bike capable on dirt.

A circular digital command center shows readings while offering turn-by-turn navigation arrows from your phone’s map. It also has a powerful integrated headlight and smart taillight for traffic safety. 

• App Customization: The bike ships as a Class 2 e-Bike, meaning you can use a throttle for assistance up to 20 mph. However, if you use the Super73 app, you can change your bike to Class 1 or Class 3. It even has an option to go beyond Class 3, but this is restricted to areas where that is legal. Using Bluetooth integration, riders can even unlock an aggressive off-road mode that pushes your bike beyond the street. 

Aesthetically, Red Bull racing fans will love the Super73 Z Adventure Red Bull SE, but this bike is so much more than just aesthetics. Its motor isn’t necessarily designed for hill climbers; it’s more geared toward the rider who wants to accelerate hard on flat ground. This makes it excellent for city commuters who need to keep up with traffic at a stoplight or an adventure rider who wants speed on all terrain. Equipped with fat tires and a suspension fork, the Z Adventure Red Bull SE is for riders who want to dominate the road, but also want to keep going past it.
