Super73 R Adventure E-Bike Review

The R Adventure is the flagship of Super73’s Adventure Series, sitting above the rest of the R-series. It is built for terrain that the standard R Brooklyn would struggle on. The battery sits low on the downtube, lowering the center of gravity and freeing up space for an extended, moto-style seat with room for a passenger.

Suspension is where this bike gets most of its ability to take you away from paved roads. The inverted air fork and DNM coil-spring rear shock both adjust for preload, compression, and rebound, and the ride quality consistently ranks among the best in the moto-style e-Bike category. The full-suspension setup takes the harshness out of riding over potholes and curb drops.

Power comes through a torque sensor, which amplifies motor output based on how hard you’re pedaling instead of just responding to cadence. That gives it a more natural feel than several other Super73 models, though several owners have described hill-climbing as underwhelming for a bike with this much power, especially on longer, sustained grades.

The 8-speed derailleur is a clear departure from the single-speed drivetrain on most other Super73 bikes. It gives you a decent gearing range for varied terrain.

• The app has drawn criticism. Owners have described it as prone to crashing, with inconsistent Bluetooth connections, and the bike resets to Class 2 every time it powers on, meaning you may need to reconnect and reselect your mode more often than you’d expect.
• The onboard display is limited. Multiple owners have found the e-Bike display too small to show much useful information, so most riders turn to the app for anything beyond basic speed and battery readouts.
• Fenders don’t fully do their job. At least one owner found the stock fenders too short to keep spray and dirt off the rider in wet conditions.

Riders who are looking for long-range, easy hill climbing, or a more polished app experience should compare carefully with competitors before committing to this one specifically.
