Summer isn’t over yet! There’s still time to score a sweet deal on a pre-owned electric bike and enjoy the summer season with a boost. There are a million reasons to ride an e-Bike, from arriving sweat-free at work (this summer is hottt) to flattening steep hills along your route and transporting cargo.

Buying an e-Bike doesn’t have to break the bank— Upway specializes in reconditioned electric bikes so you can spend less on high-quality models from the top brands, all while supporting sustainability and reducing waste. I’ve taken a deep dive into Upway’s current inventory and picked out the very best deals to amplify your adventures this summer.

Best E-Bike Deals on Upway: August 2025

Narrowing down the hottest Upway deals this month wasn’t easy, but I’ve put together a curated list of my favorites below. These recommended models span just the couple of categories I think are perfect for summer: hybrid e-Bikes and electric mountain bikes.

e-Bike for up to 60% off retail prices, in new or like-new conditions.

Orbea Optima E40

Orbea Optima E40 electric bike

Orbea hails from the cycling-steeped Basque Country and is actually one of the oldest bicycle manufacturers in the world (and rightfully claims the title depending on who you ask). I’m a big fan of their road and gravel bikes, and their city models always strike the right balance, too. The Orbea Optima is a step-through e-Bike inspired by comfortable Dutch-style bikes, powered by a compact Ebikemotion X35 mid-drive motor.

Set up for easy commuting, there are fenders, a rear rack, and a chain guard to keep those pant legs grease-free. I like that there’s no front suspension— that saves weight— for a smooth ride on city streets and paved paths. As a Class 1 e-Bike, the Optima assists up to 20 mph when pedaling. Stylish, reliable, and elegantly practical, this model is a commuter’s dream that doubles up for weekend outings.

iZip Vibe 2.0 ST

iZip Vibe 2.0 ST ebike

A Bosch-equipped electric bike for less than $800? Yeah, I’m pretty shocked too. The iZip Vibe 2.0 ST is a step-through hybrid with a setup that’s much more versatile than most, ready for summer adventures. The low-step frame makes it super easy to hop on, and the smaller 26” wheels feel nimble and leave plenty of room for massive tire clearance. This model reminds me of a hybrid bike with ‘90s rigid mountain bike flair— compact, comfortable, and capable.

The pièce de résistance is that Bosch Active Line mid-drive motor and 400 Wh battery pack, providing pedal assistance up to 20 mph. It’s an ultra-reliable drive unit that’s a total steal for the low price. An integrated rear rack, mechanical disc brakes, 7-speed Shimano drivetrain, and adjustable stem round out the package. While not the flashiest, the iZip Vibe is my favorite model on this list and by far the most affordable!

Price: $799 ($2,300 new)
With an extra $200 off, that’s savings of 65%!

Bianchi E-Omnia C-Type

Bianchi E-Omnia C-Type e-Bike

If you’ve been hunting for something different, you can stop your search with the Bianchi E-Omnia C-Type. The stealthy, blacked-out design and Batmobile inspiration aren’t for everyone, but this souped-up hybrid e-Bike is packed with superpowers. It’s a conventional-enough frame shape, but things start popping off from there, including a funky integrated rear rack, belt-drive, and premium Bosch mid-drive motor.

Bianchi opted for the Bosch Performance Line Speed motor with 85 Nm of torque and Class 3 speeds of up to 28 mph, perfect for the speed demons among us. There’s a suspension fork and cool rear lights on the seatstays, as well as a rear wheel lock built into the bike. Currently on sale for more than 60% off retail, the Bianchi E-Omnia C-Type is a style-forward Italian bike at a price your frugal nonna would approve of.

Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp

Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp electric bike

Electric mountain bikes are some of the priciest e-Bikes out there, but the Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp is on serious sale at the moment. This high-end e-MTB is designed to be as lightweight as possible thanks to a carbon fiber frame and gram-saving parts, coming in at just 42 pounds. It flies through the chunkiest trails on its Fox 34 RHYTHM fork and Fox Float X rear shock. And, I mean, just look at that sweet red paint job.

The custom-built Specialized SL 1.1 mid-drive motor preserves the frame’s sleek silhouette, pushing out 234 watts, 36 Nm of torque, and a top speed of 20 mph. There are large 29” wheels with knobby Schwalbe Tough Tom tires and a dropper post, so you’re ready to climb fast and descend even quicker. This premium e-MTB has snuck onto my wishlist, so I’d act fast if I were you.

Price: $2,749 ($7,000 new)
With an extra $150 off, that’s savings of 61%!

Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0

Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 electric bike

I’ve written about why the Specialized Turbo Vado is so great before, and the price just dropped to sweeten the deal. One of Specialized’s most popular hybrid electric bikes, the Vado is comfortable, stable, elegant, and fast— unlike many other models, this one assists up to 28 mph! There’s a short-travel suspension fork, included rear rack, and rear wheel lock for quick security.

The Specialized Turbo Como is also on sale on Upway for an even more comfortable roll. And if you want to compare the last two models on this month’s list, I recently discussed the differences between the Specialized Turbo Vado and Turbo Levo, taking a deep dive into their specs.

Price: $21,6999 ($4,000 new)
With an extra $100 off, that’s savings of 58%!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do electric bikes cost?

A good-quality electric bike usually costs between $2,000 and $4,000 at retail, though premium models can run much higher. At Upway, you can find both new and pre-owned e-Bikes from leading brands—often at discounts of up to 60%!

Is it better to have a removable battery on an electric bike?

I’m a big fan of removable batteries since they offer more options for charging, along with the advantage of swapping in a spare battery to extend the range. Most electric bikes have a removable battery so a majority of bike manufacturers and riders must agree with me. However, a non-removable battery is definitely not a deal breaker.

Should I remove my e-Bike battery when not in use?

For short-term storage, it’s encouraged to leave the battery on the bike where it’s designed to be. For long-term storage, take it out and keep it at room temperature. Modern chargers are designed to prevent overcharging, but keeping it at 100% charge levels still puts extra stress on the battery.
