VanMoof S3
The VanMoof S3 electric bike combines the classic look of a straight-framed Dutch bicycle with the modern features of electric bike technology. The result is a product with a chic aesthetic design, ideal for city rides and general-purpose cruising.
The VanMoof S3 features a standard 504 Wh electric motor capable of developing up to 59 Nm of torque. It comes with a pair of Schwalbe 28” Big Ben road tires, providing the rider with a comfortable ride on pavement.
The front-hub mounted motor gives the S3 a better weight distribution than typical rear-hub electric bikes for easier maneuverability. And at just 49 lbs., the VanMoof S3 is among the lightest e-bikes in its category.
One of the key features of the VanMoof S3 is its Kick Lock theft defense system. Enabling the Kick Lock immobilizes the rear wheel and arms an alarm system. If an unauthorized individual touches the S3, it will produce a warning sound as a deterrent. If the thief continues, the e-bike will ring loud alarms, deactivate its electric motor and send a tracking signal.
VanMoof X3
The VanMoof X3 is a sister model to the S3. While both electric bikes have similar features and overall design, the X3 offers a shorter, more agile ride.
The first and most immediate difference with the S3 is the height and tire size. The X3 is shorter, featuring 24” Schwalbe Big Apple road tires instead of the S3’s 28” tires. It also features a shorter frame, making it an excellent choice for riders between 5’1” and 6’7” in height.
The X3’s 504 Wh battery is integrated into the frame, helping maintain its classic appearance. When riding the VanMoof X3 in economy mode, you can expect up to 93 miles of battery autonomy. The full-power mode lets you reach the X3’s top speed of 20 mph, making this e-bike ideal for city commuting and cruising.
Charging the X3 is quick and effortless. The X3’s battery will reach 50 percent in 80 minutes and 100 percent in about 4 hours. The X3 also features the same Kick Lock theft defense system as its sister model, the S3, ensuring your e-bike is safe from potential thieves.
VanMoof S V2
The VanMoof S V2, also known as the Electrified S V2, is a classically-styled electric bike with a closed-frame design and a stylish look. Its frame sizing is unique and recommended for riders between 5’7” and 6’11”, making it one of the taller VanMoof e-bike models available at Upway.
Fitted with 28” Schwalbe Big Ben road tires and a 418 Wh VanMoof S1 electric motor, the S V2 is primarily intended for city commuting, urban exploration, and casual riding. Like other VanMoof e-bikes, its battery is integrated into the frame, giving it the appearance of a classic Dutch bicycle.
The S V2 has numerous convenient features to make your ride easier or more comfortable, including integrated lights, a Kick Lock anti-theft system and a unique transmission with an automatic gear-shifting system. Its overall weight is just 42 lbs., making it lightweight and easy to handle.
