Not all e-Bike tires are created equal. Some are designed for speed and efficiency, while others are built to survive potholes, gravel trails, broken glass, and whatever else modern roads throw at you.

Different Types Of E-Bike Tires
- Clincher tires: By far the most common type of bike tire. They use an inner tube inside the tire like a traditional bike. Very affordable, easy to fix, and seen on 95% of bikes.
- Tubeless tires: These tires use sealant instead of an inner tube. They come with loads of benefits, such as self-healing on small punctures, lower tire pressure, and excellent grip and comfort.
- Tubular tires: A lightweight performance tire where the tube is sewn inside the tire itself and glued to the wheel. Never seen on e-Bikes, only really used in professional racing.
| Tyre Type | Features | Downsides |
|---|---|---|
| Racing & Performance Tires | Smooth tread patterns, low rolling resistance, lightweight construction | Less puncture resistant, poorer wet grip, less durable on rough terrain |
| Puncture Protection Tires | Reinforced layers, durable casing, strong puncture resistance | Heavier and slightly slower rolling |
| Semi Off-Road Tires | Medium tread patterns, extra grip, wider tire sizes | Not as fast as road tires or as grippy as full MTB tires |
| Off-Road Tires | Aggressive tread, wide casings, soft rubber compounds | Slower on roads, noisier, heavier |
