Haibike was founded in 1995 in the German city of Schweinfurt, located in northern Bavaria. Initially, the company produced non-powered bicycles, specializing in sporty models suitable for enthusiasts.
Fifteen years after its foundation, Haibike marked bicycle manufacturing history by presenting the eQ XDURO, the first modern electric mountain bike (eMTB), at the Eurobike 2010 trade show.
The Haibike eQ XDURO was designed into four models and became a commercial success, marking a shift in the company’s direction. In 2011, Haibike showcased the XDURO Race at Eurobike, a high-performance electric road bike capable of reaching speeds of 28 mph.

Haibike Allmtn 5
The Haibike Allmtn (short for All-Mountain) product range is Haibike’s family of hard-wearing electric mountain bikes (eMTB). The Allmtn 5 was released in 2021 and was designed to meet the needs of any mountain biking enthusiast.
The Allmtn5 is a full-suspension eMTB fitted with a 160mm suspension system, powerful hydraulic disk brakes, a Shimano Deore XT 12-speed transmission, and 27.5” Maxxis Minion DHF off-road tires.
While these features already provide mountain biking enthusiasts everything they need to cross any terrain, the 85 Nm electric motor, pedal-assist system, and 625 Wh battery pack can give riders the extra power to climb the steepest inclines.
Haibike Sduro Trekking 1.0
Haibike Sduro Trekking e-bikes belong to Haibike’s versatile, multi-purpose city commuter line. While the Sduro is primarily a city e-bike, its features allow riders to use it for other applications.
The Sduro Trekking features a rear rack ideal for carrying a bag and groceries or mounting a child seat. Its integrated suspension fork allows you to smooth out nearly any bump on the road, keeping the ride comfortable. The Sduro comes standard with 28” Schwalbe Road Cruiser tires, featuring a narrow profile and sport treading, allowing riders to confidently take their e-bike over asphalt, dirt, and gravel.
Sduro Trekking 1.0 bikes feature the reliable Bosch Active Line 50 Nm electric motor and a 400 Wh battery pack that can provide riders with at least 30 to 40 miles of autonomy. Additionally, you can fully charge the battery from empty in just 2 hours.
Haibike Hardnine 5
The Hardnine series is Haibike’s selection of entry-level eMTBs. They are ideal for riders with experience riding e-bikes or standard mountain bikes but haven’t tried an eMTB.
The Hardnine 5 is a hardtail e-bike, meaning it features a front suspension fork but no rear shock absorbers. Hardtail e-bikes like the Hardnine 5 are perfect for mountain biking beginners due to their lighter weight, natural seating position, and improved uphill handling.
This model also has rugged, all-terrain 29” WTB Ranger tires. While these tires are primarily designed for dirt trails and gravel paths, they feature short but aggressive treading that can easily handle rocks, hard bumps, and mud.
Riders choosing the Hardnine 5 will benefit from the high-performance Bosch Performance Line 65 Nm electric motor, powered by a high-capacity 500 Watt-hour battery pack.
