What is the Aventon Aventure 1?
The Aventon Aventure 1 is a popular, entry-level electric bike designed for all-terrain riding. It’s the first generation of Aventon’s best-selling fat tire electric bike. There’s a comfortable aluminum frame and large 26 x 4” tires that provide cushion and grip over a variety of riding surfaces. The Aventure 1 is powered by a 750W rear hub motor and a 720Wh battery, with a top speed of 20 mph via throttle or pedal-assist—although it can be modified to a Class 3 ebike configuration.
The Aventure ebike is a great choice for all-terrain riding and exploring paved routes and light trails with ease. It can double as a rugged commuter e-Bike with simple-to-use controls for beginner riders. Aventon Aventure 1 vs. 2
The newer Aventon Aventure 2 model introduces a few upgrades to the original version, including a torque sensor, longer range, dual tail lights and turn signals, and an included rear cargo rack. The torque sensor offers more responsive pedal assist compared to a cadence sensor. They still share a color display, front suspension fork, hub electric motor, on-demand throttle, and 720 Wh lithium-ion battery.
Both models ship as Class 2, but can be modified to Class 3 speeds if your state or riding area allows it— California recently banned this type of mod. Riders can adjust the bike settings via the Aventon app.
The latest editions are the recently launched Aventure M and Aventure 3 models. The Aventure 3 fat tire ebike has Aventon’s new connectivity features, such as real-time location tracking, geofencing, remote motor shutdown, and an alarm system. The Aventure M comes with huge upgrades, including a mid-drive motor and electronic shifting, but is much more expensive.
